The development of over 600 houses and apartments by Alanna Homes has been given the go-ahead by Fingal County Council.
Hansfield Station Quarter (HSQ), part of the Hansfield Strategic Development Zone (SDZ), is located in Fingal’s Royal Canal Gateway.
Together with over 600 high-quality homes, Alanna will provide creche and retail facilities, and a gym accessed from a new Plaza, designed by landscape architect Dermot Foley, located at the Hansfield Train Station. The scheme will span 10 blocks, up to 7 storeys in height, of attractively designed apartments set within 6 acres of parkland, with easy access to Hansfield’s 5-acre Village Green. The new homes consist of a sustainable mix of large 1, 2 & 3 Bedroom apartments and houses with ample storage, car parking and bicycle storage.
Beside Hansfield Railway Station, HSQ offers easy access to Dublin’s Rail Network with direct links to Dublin Docklands, Connolly and Pearse Stations as well as commuter links via the Broombridge Luas Central Station to St Stephen Green. The city centre is reachable in approx. 28 minutes.
HSQ is situated within easy access to the N3, M50 and N4 road networks and Dublin airport is approx. 20 minutes’ drive.
Other local amenities include the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, Westmanstown Sports Centre and local parks including the award-winning St Catherine’s Park & Millennium Park. Luttrellstown Castle and Dunboyne Castle are also nearby, providing residents with high-quality hospitality options.
Future occupants will have direct access on to the Royal Canal Greenway to the south of the development and the 5-acre Hansfield Village Green to the north. Its parkland setting lends itself to a quickly maturing and high-quality landscaped environment.
This development will ensure a continued supply of high-quality residential accommodation in the fast-growing Dublin 15 area. HSQ will support the continued growth in employment in Dublin City Centre for expanding and new companies such as Salesforce, Reddit, Facebook, Grant Thornton amongst others. HSQ will also service the N2/M3 Economic Corridor where Facebook and Shires have recently made significant investments and Connolly Hospital.
The development of the 600 new homes will be one of the Nations’ largest ongoing Rapid Off-Site System build projects making use of the latest off-site technology to ensure a speedy delivery of quality concrete built new homes across 800,000 sq. ft. of development.
The development will support over 400 jobs during construction in the Fingal area with additional jobs supported in design, manufacturing and other supporting industries. Construction of Hansfield Station Quarter is scheduled to commence in 2019 with the 1st phase of completion expected in Q2 2020. Alanna Homes have already delivered over 500 new homes in the Hansfield SDZ to date
