2018 has got off to a very good start for Alanna Homes, our construction division, Newline, successfully completed their ISO accreditation audit. The NSAI has now granted us certification to I.S. EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, I.S. EN ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001:2007 S.R. Occupational Health and Safety.
ISO 9001 Quality Management System
The implementation of our Quality Management System is designed to analyse and improve each element in our operations, from conceptual right through to delivery. The Quality Management system assists us in a consistent and fair tending process allowing us carefully select Strategic Partners who recognise our vision and strategy. More importantly, it also promotes internal efficiency, employee involvement from end to end and free-flowing communication throughout.
ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
This accreditation further embeds the Green Agenda within The Alanna Group. We are committed to and conscious of the need to protect our environment – minimise environmental footprint and promote sustainable development. Our environmental management system has been developed to identify, manage and control activities, on-site and in-house, that may have an impact on the environment and our workplace. Through a combination of analysis and actions, our Environmental Management system will further enhance the way in which we interact with the environment through waste reduction, avoiding risk and preventing pollution.
OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety
As a company, the Health and Safety of our employees, Strategic Partners, and the general public is one of the most important obligations we hold. The awarding of this standard further promotes greater employee awareness and understanding of health and safety in the workplace. We have implemented a preventative and proactive approach which involves identifying workplace hazards, fully assessing measures to be taken, controlling and alleviating potential risks. It is with our greatest pleasure to report that to date we have Zero reported accidents and would expect this tend to be maintained as a result of our recent accreditation.
